Unlikely Concerts #17-21
TBA

“Unlikely Concerts” is a series of short site-specific performances by artist-musician Tor Lukasik-Foss. The artist’s narrative song cycle has been written in response to observations made while wandering around downtown Galt. These humorous and rollicking performances will occur hourly starting each day in the shared lobby of the Library & Gallery and continuing at the top of each hour at different and unexpected downtown venues. The performance continues Sunday afternoon on a local Grand River Transit bus. Times and locations will be posted prior to the event.

Tor Lukasik-Foss is a multidisciplinary artist, performer and writer interested in developing performance circumstances. Recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition at the Latcham Gallery, Stouffville (2009); “Monotheatrum”, Art Gallery of Hamilton (2008); “Urban Moorings”, Cootes Paradise, Hamilton (2008); “unsatisfied with their depiction, they resisted…”, Thames Public Art Gallery, Chatham (2006), and he has developed performances for TH&B, Hamilton (2008), WKP Kennedy Gallery, North Bay (2005); McMaster Museum of Art, Hamilton (2004); Spasm II, Saskatoon (2004). His latest CD as Tiny Bill Cody is titled “The Coming Changes”. He writes a regular column for Hamilton Magazine and recently performed on CBC Radio’s GO!
